FAQs
Navel Piercings?
Belly button piercings are very beautiful! Some important things to consider like any piercing is anatomy. NOT EVERYONE has the proper anatomy for a belly piercing but we try our best to carry multiple jewelry pieces that are designed to heal best with everyones anatomy! Our standard jewelry for a belly piercing would be a banana curved 14g barbell. We also use floater jewelry which is a flat base instead of a ball base and a J curved barbell. Other options would be a surface bar or a dermal. That style would only be recommended for those who DO NOT live a very physically active lifestyle. Meaning athletes, those who go to the gym often. Belly piercings tend to take longer to heal compared to others based on placement of the body in an area that has a lot of movement and bends. DO NOT swim or take baths for the first 2-3 months as you do not want your piecing submerged under water in the beginning months. Such things can lead to infection, migration and irritation.
What kind of jewelry do we use?
The piercing parlor carries a wide variety of jewelry starting with stainless steel. All of our piercing prices include jewelry which would be standard internally threaded stainless steel. We also carry titanium in many grades. Titanium is a better option compared to stainless steel. Titanium is a higher grade metal which allows the body to heal at a faster rate with less chances of irritation to the piercing. Our Titanium is available in treadless jewelry as well as internally threaded. 14k and 18k gold are the best options we offer in a wide variety for all piercings. Most of our solid gold jewelry are available in threadless style.

WHEN SHOULD WE HAVE OUR JEWELRY DOWNSIZED?
We recommend coming in 3-6 weeks after your initial piercing for a checkup. We like to see that you are healing properly with the metal of your choice and to see if a change to the sizing needs to be made. Most of the time a downsize is needed since the original piercing was done with a longer post so there is room for swelling. If your piercing is left a lot of wiggle room once all the swelling has subsided that can cause irritation and even migration to a piercing so it is very important to return for a follow up.
